## Description

This combo pack comes with in-scale representations of R2-D2 and BB-8, both with full mechanical detail and water slide decals to make them the most accurate versions of both! A display base is included, as is a transparent brace to make sure BB-8 doesn't roll away! Review: Great kit, but requires patience to cut nicely and apply stickers/water-decals - This is my first time using a modeling kit, so this was a new experience for me. First of all the shipping was much slower than Prime, but it still arrived a lot sooner than the estimated shipping date. I received the item about 2 week after ordering, and I could tell it was sent from Japan so the slow shipping makes sense. The kit comes with instructions in Japanese only, so I had to work off of pictures only. This can be tricky at times, especially because the modeling kit comes with options that you don't necessarily have to do (like using the arms or weapons that R2D2 and BB8 comes with). The kit comes with both stickers and water-decals. Both are relatively easy to apply, and I would suggest using whichever kind you feel more comfortable with. BB8 is definitely made from a higher quality plastic than R2D2, and I think that's because R2D2 is a re-release from the previous kits. The plastic that R2D2 is made of shows a little more flaws (where you snipped the plastic). That said, both models look great after assembly. Some of the pieces of R2D2 didn't stay on very well (like the blue pieces on the top of its head), so I had to use glue for a couple of pieces. Some stickers are very very small, but it is worth the time because it makes a difference including them onto the model. The whole building process took about 4-5 hours. The size of the final product is relatively small (BB8: 2 inches R2D2: 4 inches). I would say this is for ages 13+, as it requires a lot of patience.

**Q: How tall are each of these figures?**
A: BB-8 is 56.5mm,R2-D2 is 96mm.They are 1/12 scale.

**Q: Does the kit require glue or are the pieces snap-to-fit?**
A: Snap-fit. Brilliant kit! The pieces fit together beautifully and hold together perfectly. No paint either. The kit comes with both stickers and water-based decals. I used the stickers and you cannot tell they are stickers. I am totally satisfied with every aspect of this kit! All I used was an exacto knife and some tweezers for the smaller pieces.

**Q: How do these compare to Gundam in terms of difficulty? What grade would you compare it to?**
A: I've built the R2-D2 half of this kit so far. For difficulty, I'd say it's just a little more than a HG. In overall detail, this kit is somewhere between HG and MG. MG in terms of part count, HG in that the little details may need painting. (R2's arms will need some paint to look like the box art, BB-8's orange plastic is a little yellow, but I only noticed this because I have the sphero; these parts can be removed fairly easily for painting\airbrushing later). Overall the natural plastic looks great, even without paint. I used gundam markers item: B00HY93GHY GM01 black and GM03 brown for R2's panels and it really makes it stand out. Look up panel lining. I'd recommend this kit as is out of the box. Using the tip of a straight pin or hobby knife helped me to pick up the smallest stickers, then I used a pointed cotton bud to slide them in place.

**Q: are these models that need to be built or action figures**
A: Definitely NOT action figures.  It is a model kit.  The best part is no glue is necessary and the joints of the model do allow for some movement, which allows you to pose the figure in many different ways.

Model kit looks good, many parts molded in color. Look forward to relaxing and just doing something for fun. May try to make both remote control for even more fun. Glad I bought kit. Box arrived a little banged up but since planning to build and not collect was not an issue at price and free shipping. Instructions are in Japaneses but images are pretty self explanatory. Not sure but I believe some kits in other countries are not sealed with clear plastic so contents can be checked before buying. Kit box arrived without plastic but all parts where included and nothing broken. Each plastic tree was sealed and easy to verify contents with instruction sheet. Hope information helps.
