I have been looking for large tubs of play dough for awhile. I ordered a tub for $9 on Lakeshore's website (Lakeshore brand). It became extremely sticky on the second day of use. I thought that odd. Used more of the dough in the tub and it too, became extremely sticky the second day of use. So I tossed the entire tub (it had stuck to tables, door knobs, hands, fingers. Only came off if scraped or washed off. It was a teacher's nightmare) So I was very pleasantly surprised that this Crayola Dough did very well on multiple days of use in my Kindergarten classroom. I purchased the Yellow since it was the cheapest. I like that it's all one color in the tub, then there is no arguing among the students. It doesn't matter the color, they will be happy with it.PROs: Inexpensive (much cheaper than Lakeshore's and has Prime Shipping)Lasts for several months of use in Kindergarten classroom.Bright vivid yellow color.Great to combine with letter, number, shape cutters to make a hands-on learning centerNice Tub for storage of the dough which makes clean-up even easierHas a unique, but not unpleasant smellCONS: Unique smell, while not unpleasant to me, 2 of my students seemed repulsed by it and preferred to avoid the dough learning center.Since they are only 5 year olds, pieces of dough wind up on the floor and stepped on. Once it dries, it pops out of shoe tread on its own (which in most cases happens after the children are at home)Teacher tip: to increase fine motor skills ask children to roll out balls or skinny snakes using their fingertips (not their palms). This helps the development of muscles in their fingers which make writing/coloring/cutting easier. When it is easier for students, they experience less frustration and have more confidence in their abilities to complete school activities. In turn, it boosts their self-esteem and they enjoy school more. Sometimes the small things have a big impact.

Perfect to use when making 3-D stained glass flowers... when you want to solder two or more levels of petals to the center of a flower. I use a rolled up dowel of play dough to put on the first layer of petals to allow me to add a second level to solder the next layer. Also very helpful to use when attaching jump rings or hanging fasteners to hold them in place when you solder. It is great because the solder does not stick in the play dough and it can be re-used

It's pretty much identical to actual playdoh. It smells unique but in a good way. I bought this tub because I was tired of the kids mixing the colors of all the tiny regular playdoh containers. This large one-color tub in perfect. Very soft.

This is okay for the price I use it in my classroom. When I first got it, it had a really awful smell. The smell goes away but it is very crumbly after a month.( yes it does go back in the bag in the tub.

The tub of playdoh was perfect size and easy to use for a large group of kids. Great assortment in colors that look just like the photo. The locking lid makes it great to keep from drying out. Perfect size for the money!

Our child’s classroom needed enough orange play doh for 16 kids and this 3lb bucket hit the spot. Great value for your money and anytime you can use less plastic- the better for the environment.The single tub makes cleanup easier easy and the texture and color stays true to play doh.

I bought two tubs for my art classes. Even the 5th graders had fun playing with them! This is good quality dough, and doesn't stick to hands or clothes.

Yes played with this today, seems very pliable and easy to manage, does have a smell to it but nothing off putting,does rub off on your hands a little but easily washed off. So far think this is good play dough and do not regret buyingit for six year old granddaughter ( and me )

The kids love this play dough, but it has a very strong smell of perfume which probably makes it toxic, so make sure your child does not eat it. Normal play dough only have food colourant in in, so this one is an unnecessary addition......I wouldn`t even say it`s a pleasant smell, so why bothered?
