This was a gift for my friend, recently diagnosed with breast cancer. And I did go ahead and give it to her in this case, it's the thought and sentiment that counts. I wasn't a fan of the extra string outside of the sinching bead because I have pretty small wrists, so I had quite a bit if extra string. So I decided to wear it as an anklet! I dont recommend this to anyone with a larger shoe size than a womens 6 (I have small feet) because you might not me able to get it over your foot, causing it to break, if your foot were much bigger.
