Thanks! **Q: Would these be the correct screw type including size/length for joining 3/4" baltic birch plywood to 2x2 oak board? thanks** A: If you are coming in from the bottom and fastening the frame to the bottom of the board, then you want the screw end (point end) to extend no more that 5/8" above the frame edge when the screw is all the way to the bottom (actually top!!) of the pocket. I use the pocket drill to make vertical pockets in the center of the frame/cross-member boards rather than a side pocket. Then I use 2 1/2" Kreg screws to secure to the tops from the bottom up. I do use wood glue too. That way there is NO movement of the frame and tops. But I use 1"x3" select pine boards for my cornhole board frames and cross-members.
