I was tired of knocking everything off my nightstand in the middle of the night. So I searched for something to take some of the larger items off of it, like charging phone, kindle, books, etc. My bed frame is very thick, and has slats, so I adapted this by using extra velcro along the underside of the frame and a clamp I happened to have. This felt caddy holds a fair amount of stuff-- my iPad is in a big heavy case, which would I fear drag this down. But regular iPad without my crazy case, my kindle, books, glasses, roll on pain meds, lip balm, sleep mask, hand cream, tissues and my iphone (in its big wallet case) fit with no issues. There is a hole for charging at the bottom of the caddy, and the grey is a neutral--my bed frame is whitewashed mango wood and it looks fine.
