I did it by myself (I’m a 5’4”, 51yo woman). It took about 15 minutes, but would take less if I were to set it up again, now that I know exactly how it works. I found that it’s quite sturdy. It was heavier than I thought it would be but that just lends to the sturdiness of it. I’m using it to shade my air conditioning units, hoping to help with my power bill. My theory is, if the units have shade, they don’t have to work as hard in the heat of the day, making them more efficient, thus lowering my bill. It may be a lunatic theory but it makes me feel like I’m doing SOMETHING to help. We will see if it has an impact in the next week or so. As far as the canopy goes, the hardest part was getting the 4 corners to snap into place. I had to get the canopy frame as stretched out as possible and then push up hard on each corner. It's very well built, good construction, nice fasteners. The canopy cover is very sturdy and stitched very well. It sets up easily by one person in just a couple of minutes. Please note that the canopy top is a very snug fit on the frame so be sure to place it on the frame before extending the frame into full position.
