Review: Works great but GOLLY it’s difficult to set up - If you got this for the viral TV strip lights it DOES NOT WORK WITH SMART TV’s. It worked really well but I didn’t think it would be this difficult to set up, also because it’s not compatible with smart tv’s. I used this specifically for the TV strip lights, & there weren’t even any informational videos out there for this or just online in general.. so I have photos attached if anyone has trouble with setting up for a fire smart tv. Only if you have a Samsung smart tv it’ll sync, not even the hue essentials app will work correctly. You need to get a fire stick or any external streaming device, plug it into the sync box, change the audio to AV Sync tuning, resolution to 1080, (I think the fire stick starts over 2000 and it didn’t work), display range to adaptive, then go into the hue app on your phone and update the advanced settings to Dolby digital vision enhanced compatibility but I’m not sure if this just for the fire stick since it uses Dolby digital image. Also make sure your fire stick is in the second or fourth HMDI outlet on the sync box. SUPER SPECIFIC and confusing but I was so happy when I got it down. Good luck!
Review: Love it - Configuratios is way to complicated, and requires the full thing to work (strip light for the tv, the sync box and the bridge). Is crazy expensive but the quality of what you get is undeniable. A bit sad that it doesn't work directly with the Samsung tv built-in apps, only works with the connected devices via HDMI, or if the Samsung tv is one of the newest models and Qled or Oled versions. A side from that, i think it work as expected, but I'm sure I'm missing features due to incompatibility or lack of available public user data.

**Q: Hi, how can i use this when netflix or youtube apps are built in smart tv?**
A: In this case you won't be able to sync video, but you might be able to sync audio if you plug the sync box to a HDMI ARC port on your TV.

To have video synced you must have the source plugged into the sync box, which obviously you can't do if the source is running on your TV.

**Q: Hi I have the sync box connected to stereo receiver. The video and gaming features work fine but it won’t sync to music. Help please?**
A: It would be great if you had described exactly how all your devices are chained together. The best way to think about all these HDMI connections is that both audio and video flow from your source devices, at the end of the chain, through the sync box and then to your TV.

The sync box can only sync with what flows through it (audio or video), so you must connect the output of all the source devices you want to have the lights synced with to the inputs of your sync box.

Particularly for audio, you could also have the sync box plugged into a HDMI ARC port on your TV and sync with audio from a source that is not directly plugged to the sync box, e.g. a music streaming app running on your TV. This likely works because the TV would be sending its audio down to the sync box through the ARC port.

In my home I have a streaming box (e.g. Roku) connected to my sync box, and my sync box connects to my TV on a regular HDMI port. I also have a soundbar connected to my TV's ARC port, so it can play whatever my streaming box is sending.

**Q: what is the input voltage? is it supports 220v?**
A: Yes. It supports 100v-240v input

**Q: Can you use this with a A/V receiver with video and audio switching?**
A: Take the output of the receiver into 1of the inputs on the Philips bar, then output of the bar to the tv.

If you got this for the viral TV strip lights it DOES NOT WORK WITH SMART TV’s. It worked really well but I didn’t think it would be this difficult to set up, also because it’s not compatible with smart tv’s. I used this specifically for the TV strip lights, & there weren’t even any informational videos out there for this or just online in general.. so I have photos attached if anyone has trouble with setting up for a fire smart tv. Only if you have a Samsung smart tv it’ll sync, not even the hue essentials app will work correctly. You need to get a fire stick or any external streaming device, plug it into the sync box, change the audio to AV Sync tuning, resolution to 1080, (I think the fire stick starts over 2000 and it didn’t work), display range to adaptive, then go into the hue app on your phone and update the advanced settings to Dolby digital vision enhanced compatibility but I’m not sure if this just for the fire stick since it uses Dolby digital image. It’s great but doesn’t do well if you have a pc connected that is mirrored to the tv. Not sure why the tv with laptop doesn’t work. Also the smart tv doesn’t work either for some reason cause there has to be an external device in order for this to work.
