Works great even though I need to put more time in to the activity. Review: GREAT METAL DETECTOR-EASY TO USE! - Very happy with the Gold Bug Pro so far! Instructions are a lot easier to get started compared to my Garrett AT Gold. Very lite weight. I was disappointed after spending $800, there was no packaging to protect the detector and parts were lose inside the box. A bit expensive, by time you ship to Canada ! A good quality set of headphones and a Double DD coil supplied would be nice! But a great starter detector! Actually far easier to get started with than my Garret AT Gold. AT GOLD is great as well - both great units- highly recommend both. AT Gold is waterproof. I did upgrade the search coil to a 11" DETECH ULTIMATE coil and this coil works great for deep searching and covering more territory! ## Features - Lightweight & Ergonomic: The Gold Bug is the lightest in its class, offering an ergonomic design that reduces fatigue during long hours of searching. Its balanced build ensures comfort, ideal for serious gold nugget prospecting. - Two Search Modes: The detector offers All-Metal and Discriminate modes. Use All-Metal for full detection or Discriminate to filter out unwanted metals, focusing on valuable targets like gold and avoiding trash. - Large LCD Screen: The Gold Bug features a large LCD screen with 0-99 numeric target identification. It also provides a depth readout and large target alert, offering precise data for accurate target identification - Advanced Ground Balance: Equipped with continuous ground phase and computerized ground grab, the Gold Bug ensures optimal ground balance in various terrains. The no-motion pinpoint feature further aids in precise target detection. - 2-Tone VCO Audio: The 2-Tone VCO system delivers clear audio feedback based on target depth and size. The adjustable threshold and gain allow for precise tuning, ensuring the best possible detection experience for all targets. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B002PJZNVU | | Battery Average Life | 100 hours | | Best Sellers Rank | #176,713 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #212 in Metal Detectors | | Brand | Fisher | | Brand Name | Fisher | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 407 Reviews | | Display Type | LCD | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00089723999181 | | International Protection Rating | IP54 | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 51"L x 6.25"W x 10.25"H | | Item Type Name | hobbyist-metal-detectors | | Item Weight | 2.5 pounds | | Manufacturer | First Texas Products, LLC | | Manufacturer Part Number | GOLDBUG | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Industry leading 5 year parts and labor | | Material | ABS Plastic | | Material Type | ABS Plastic | | Model Number | OBWS GOLDebug | | Number of Items | 1 | | Operating Frequency | 19 KHz | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Dimensions | 51"L x 6.25"W x 10.25"H | | Recommended Uses For Product | Metal Detection | | UPC | 089723999181 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | search coil size | 5 inches | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Fisher - **Color:** Black - **Item Weight:** 2.5 pounds - **Material:** ABS Plastic - **Power Source:** Battery Powered ## Images ![Fisher Labs Gold Bug Metal Detector, Black (GOLDBUG) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rqTZ58eaL.jpg) ![Fisher Labs Gold Bug Metal Detector, Black (GOLDBUG) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81KtFPgZjyL.jpg) ![Fisher Labs Gold Bug Metal Detector, Black (GOLDBUG) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rBMUz7CjL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Set** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would this detector also pick up silver in rocks (in this case, quartz)?** A: Fisher gold bug pro metal detector would this machine detect Gold, Silver,Copper and etc (ferrous) and (Nonferrous) Depth 5 fit in pure soil and rock aria depth 3 fit. **Q: What difference between fisher gold bug metal detector and fisher gold bug pro metal detector?** A: The Gold Bug Pro includes the following additional features: 1) Computerized GROUND GRAB® with Manual Adjust and 2) Higher Sensitivity **Q: Free accessories included?
