Before that I tried the Zymox enzyme ear cleaner and that didn't work - even as a preventative measure. I put this in his ears last night after taking a Q-tip to them to clean out the gunk. One was worse than the other. The left one (not as bad ear) was completely cleared up by morning and the right one (the REALLY bad ear) was 50% better. I expect that his right ear will be healed in a couple of days.. I'd also like to mention that the spray method was a lot easier to apply than the squeeze/flush method. Especially when your furr baby has irritated ears. Disclaimer: Miconazole does not feel good when you first put it on. If you've ever had a yeast infection yourself you know what I'm talking about. So if your pet starts to cry a bit, its not the fault of the manufacturer, its just the nature of the treatment. The burn starts to go away after a minute. He was a little irritated at first but after rubbing his ears (and belly) he got over it. I gave him another clean out and sprayed his ears again this morning and it didn't phase him at all. Review: Cured my dog's persistent yeast infection - I cannot recommend this product enough. My poor dog had a yeast infection in his paws for years. We tried taking him to the vet, changing his food countless times, the vinegar + peroxide rinses, etc, etc etc and it would just not go away. We'd give him benadryl every once in a while to help him with the itch but it broke my heart every time because I just wanted him to get better. I purchased this product and a medicated shampoo as a last resort. I gave the dog a bath with the shampoo and then applied this spray to his paws and put my son's socks on his paws so he wouldn't lick the product off (plus the spray is greasy so it helped contain the mess). I applied the spray once a day only because he'd get scared whenever I'd bring it out and within the first 2 days the dog stopped licking his paws completely (something he'd do to scratch the itchiness). Within a week the redness and the dark color were gone. I was not expecting that, I thought it would be more like the consistency of a antibiotic spray such as Neosporin and therefore would be fast dying but no.
