That's why I was so bummed then I received it and realized how small it was. Much smaller than I was expecting. I was hoping to use it to get into high cabinet in my kitchen and then eventually using it as a step stool for my son as he got older. I can use it for most things in my kitchen (I still occasionally have to just climb up on the counter), but my son definitely won't be able to use it as a step stool to reach the sink. It's also a bit sticky as though the varnish didn't fully dry. But that said, it's a very inexpensive stool so I can't really fault the poor craftsmanship too much. You get what you pay for.
