This is a heavy duty latch. Purchased this because the flimsy one that was on our vinyl gate broke during heavy wind. I like this 1 because it's 2x as thick , plus it allows you to screw down the latch on 2 sides of the post. I would definitely recommend this latch for anyone looking to upgrade/replace.
