Great sizes, great quality. - I'd been buying selenite by the rod at the shop, and eventually realized I should look at bulk options. When I went searching and asked around, I got pointed to Dancing Bear over and over. The two pound box seemed like a great option and I couldn't believe my eyes when I got the box. I expected crumbles or broken pieces, but instead I got a very securely packaged bunch of exceptional selenite! Plus a black tourmaline. The clarity and color are exactly what you want. You can clean them up and smooth them further if you want, but be careful with how much water is used, because it's water soluble. I gave them a good polish with a damp cloth and that was all they needed. These are obviously good, real selenite. Because they are in such good shape, you can use them right out of the box for most purposes. Be gentle with selenite, it's not a hard stone. Even so, these are very well cut and feel sturdy in the hand. Now, I've got a large rod of selenite above every door and it's exactly what I've been wanting. Very highly recommended! Thinking I had received a faulty shipment, I wrote to the company & they sent me another "2" lbs in good faith. Unfortunately the 2nd shipment was only a little better. It had 12 sticklets. They are pretty bulky sticks so it is entirely possible that 9-12 sticks does equal 2lbs...but I dont know for sure & regardless...if 9-12 sticks equals 2 lbs then most of these other raving reviewers must have received 4-6lbs for the price of 2. Either that, or I received 2 faulty shipments in a row. Regardless, I personally WOULD NOT purchase these again at the listed price for only 9-12 sticklets...unless it changed to free s & h or they took $10 off the original price cuz other than that, It seems like a total rip-off to me. Sorry but $30 for only 9-12 3" sticklets...is NOT a good value imho. **Q: Why is this classified under “Science Education”?** A: probably geology **Q: Has a one recently purchased? I I'll be buying more! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful pieces and GREAT value *by K***Y on January 10, 2023* I received 12 smaller pieces and 7 larger pieces. The sizes of each piece were accurate and just as advertised in the description. The small pieces averaging each around 3.25 inches and the large around 5 inches in size for the length, with nothing in between. I included a picture with the range of thicknesses of both the small and large. The picture of four pieces shows in order 1: the thinnest of the small pieces, 2: the thickest of the small pieces, 3: the thinnest of the large pieces, and 4: the thickest of the large pieces. I was hoping for a few more pieces, but still a GREAT value for the quantity and size. I have ordered from another listing that was about the same unit price per stick, but had extremely smaller and thinner pieces compared to this set. These are exceptionally thick and beautiful pieces and I am very happy overall with my purchase. I would not hesitate to buy this listing and/or company again. I plan to gift these to my customers and I am very proud to be giving these out compared to the others I’ve seen. One thing I am a bit surprised on is that they were not more carefully packaged. The pieces were between one of two ziplock bags and placed in a box with two small pieces of packing paper. This box then being placed in an Amazon box with some of the large packing air bags. I would have thought that they would take better care with maybe some bubble wrap just in case Amazon didn’t place this extra air bag padding inside. I don’t believe amazon placed these air bags because it was a more fragile item, but because Amazon had a lot of extra room in the box. My Amazon orders aren’t always packaged so nicely so I would think the company would try more to protect their/their customers product. All of the pieces were intact though so maybe it is a smaller issue than I am imagining.
