It is store 5050, Troup HiwayNewman-O's sandwich cookie are 99% made the same way as Hydrox except the ingred's are organic and they use sugar and powdered sugar. If the stopped using Powdered sugar they would be Hydrox. They don't taste quit the same but close. A lot of stores carry them. I still like Oreos a lot, but I think this cookie is my new favorite. It does have a deeper chocolate flavor than an Oreo, which you really notice after you've been chewing for a few seconds. It doesn't jump right out at you. It's less sweet than an Oreo, though it's still plenty sweet enough with that nice real-sugar flavor. The cream center of this cookie is a big difference from Oreos. This one is like a cake or cupcake icing, with a nice creamy flavor, whereas the Oreo has more texture than flavor, and Oreo filling has a Crisco-like density that I don't care for. Sorry for all the Oreo comparisons, but that's really what most people will have as a reference.This cookie goes absurdy well with fresh milk, and stands up well to dipping. It absorbs milk nicely without getting as soft as quick as an Oreo.From memory, Hydrox is 130 calories per serving, with two cookies being one serving. I think it was 19g carb and 1g protein, which would leave about 5 grams of fat. It's not a health food, despite the elimination of trans-fats and corn syrup, but it's a nice treat after a workout. I don't know how Oreos compare in terms of calories, but these were more filling, and at least part of that is the better taste that gives more satisfaction with fewer cookies. You could actually eat two of these and stop. I agree with the others who say, these aren't like the original Hydrox. Just another in a long list of Oreo knock offs. They aren't bad, but they are Hydrox in name only. I would have even given them four or five stars but, like all the Oreo knock offs, some how they feel like they have to put twice as much filling as regular Oreos. But here's a hint to all Oreo knock off manufacturers. No one over the age of ten eats Oreo Double stuff cookies with the exception of people dreaming of moving to Colorado.On the plus side, the ingredients are very clean, and no high fructose corn syrup as in Oreos. BTW, $6 is a lot to pay for 13 ounces of cookies. Make them a pound, and under $5 and your sales will sky rocket.
