He was in the Air Force. Plus he did many other great things throughout his life. I wanted to get something special to store the flag in and was originally going to just buy a plain wooden case in the shape of the flag after they fold it at the funeral, but I just so happened to come across this one. It is absolutely perfect! It is a bit pricey, however you get to pick the emblem for what the branch was they were in, put their name, date of birth and date of passing. Plus any special words you want to add. Also, the fit was perfect. I didn't have to overstuff it into the case. It us easy to open and close. It keeps the flag dust free and protects it from damage. It is real good and thick and functions either by hanging it on the wall, or putting it on a table, desk, bookcase, etc. It is such a wonderful, and , beautiful, way to honor and display the flag of that special person that served time as an officer or in the military. I highly recommend this to be the case you choose to display your loved ones sacrifices. The writing on it is more than perfect and has not flaked or peeled off.
