That being said, I already new that to be the case before I bought 2 for my son's wedding. They didn't have a ring bearer, so the flowergirl/"Bling Queen" carried them. If you want it for woman's ring it's perfect the way it is, & even prettier in person! For a man's ring it is equally beautiful, you just need to put a little effort in to making it work. FYI: I'm disabled, & my son is a tall man with large fingers, & I was still able to make it work.
