Prevue Pet Products Coffeawood Java Tree Small Floor Playstand 22623 Style #2 is a sustainably harvested, 100% natural wood product from the Coffeawood/Java tree. Allow your bird to play and explore as it would in the forest by climbing and perching among the gnarled branches. Each playstand has multiple levels and is a unique and one-of-a-kind product, no two trees are alike! With a smaller branch diameter, our Small Style #2 Floor Stand Model is perfect for smaller birds like finch, canary, love bird and budgie. With two food/water cups and four eye screws for hanging toys, these trees have branches ranging from 3/8’’ – 1’’ in diameter and a height range of 59’’ to 63’’ tall. The sturdy base has pre-mounted rolling casters and measures 39 3/4’’ long and 22 7/8’’ wide. Coffeawood trees are a sustainable resource from coffee/java trees that are no longer productive. Photos are representative of the tree style, but are not the actual trees to be purchased. All Coffeawood/Java Trees are natural and unique. Variations in actual items purchased should be expected. Natural materials have natural variations, any minor cracks, natural wood folds and other variations do not constitute defects. Minor assembly required, slide crown of tree into the trunk’s pins and attach the trunk to the base, using the outline as a guide. Do not tighten food/water bowls all the way down to the branches.

Review: Definitely bigger than expected but birds love it - So we ordered a “small” and I have to say, having owned bigger birds in the past, a macaw or cockatoo would definitely be fine on here. I know it’s natural wood and the description says size may definitely vary, so I’m giving this 5 stars because they *did* include that disclaimer in an effort for full transparency, and it’s incredibly sturdy, doesn’t have a weird smell, and looks beautiful. It took my husband and I about 30 minutes from unpackaging to fully assembled to get it up. Our parrotlet is on here in pics for size (about the size of a finch), and we also have two conures. One of our girls has a slight disability so I wrapped the branches with Vet Wrap so she can more easily get around and so that the parrotlet can move around without slipping/falling since his toes are nowhere near being large enough to fit around the branches. Birds are messy so…no matter how the branches or bowls are positioned, expect to clean up regardless. They toss the seeds around anyway as they dig so the tray won’t catch everything. As far as poop and branch placement, it’s great and the tray catches all the droppings, but I’d recommend a layer of newspaper and then litter of some sort on top so you can just scoop and replace as necessary. They will poop on the tree itself because of the natural layered branches, so you’ll just have to clean the tree every so often. It’s smooth, so there is not much stick for your bird (especially depending on bird size) but I like that my human kiddos are free of getting splinters. The functionality is great—it comes with hooks to add toys and we’re also going to add some ropes so they have more of a playground feel. It’s a fairly heavy tree which again, we enjoy, because you can roll it wherever you want but it’s sturdy enough where it can’t just get knocked over. We have young birds so they were scared at first, having never seen something so big they can climb on. I’d recommend placing the tree next to their cage for a few days so they can get used to it if you have birds that aren’t accustomed to gigantic playgrounds. Overall, definitely worth the money and it’s a nice “change of scenery” if you have one or more birds!

**Q: Is the trunk large enough to keep a macaw from climbing down to the ground?**
A: My wife and I believe a Macaw probably could climb to the floor. Out African Grey hasn't tried yet but there is allot of activity going on when he is out and is not alone. There are many knots going up the whole trunk portion of the branch.

**Q: what is the bottom made of and is it easily cleaned or should I add some linoleum?**
A: I put newspaper and toss. It’s easy to clean with putty knife and Murphy oil soap.

**Q: What sizeprevue pet products coffeawood tree, large or medium, is best for an eclectus (red sided aru, a  little larger than african grey or yn amazon**
A: Yes I am familiar.  Medium is good.  Don’t get large because medium branches are large and someone wrote it was TOO big for even a cockatoos feet!

**Q: Is the #2 Medium sized java tree mounted in center of platform as shown in second picture?**
A: Hi Karen, the placement of the tree varies from tree to tree. Per the manufacturer, to keep the trees balanced some are placed directly in the center and some are placed to the left or right of the base depending on the size and weight of the branches and the trunk. So we ordered a “small” and I have to say, having owned bigger birds in the past, a macaw or cockatoo would definitely be fine on here. I know it’s natural wood and the description says size may definitely vary, so I’m giving this 5 stars because they *did* include that disclaimer in an effort for full transparency, and it’s incredibly sturdy, doesn’t have a weird smell, and looks beautiful. It took my husband and I about 30 minutes from unpackaging to fully assembled to get it up. Our parrotlet is on here in pics for size (about the size of a finch), and we also have two conures. One of our girls has a slight disability so I wrapped the branches with Vet Wrap so she can more easily get around and so that the parrotlet can move around without slipping/falling since his toes are nowhere near being large enough to fit around the branches. Birds are messy so…no matter how the branches or bowls are positioned, expect to clean up regardless. They toss the seeds around anyway as they dig so the tray won’t catch everything. As far as poop and branch placement, it’s great and the tray catches all the droppings, but I’d recommend a layer of newspaper and then litter of some sort on top so you can just scoop and replace as necessary. This is a really nice tree, it’s sturdy and was extremely easy to put together. I did wrap many of the branches in twine because the branches are quite slick, and my Amazon has grip issues, but she’s actually enjoying exploring it. It’s way bigger than I expected, a medium is plenty big for a large Amazon. Really, a larger macaw or cockatoo would be fine on this size tree. The tray is quite lightweight, and I wish the casters locked, but it does a great job catching the mess. It was expensive at $450, but only a week later it’s listed at $320, over $100 cheaper than what I paid; makes me feel I way overpaid for it.
