Negate is a very potent product and generally is used in large tanks such as 50-100 gallon tanks. Finding the correct measurement for a hand pump sprayer or back pack sprayer is difficult but not impossible. For smaller applications, where accurately dosing small quantities of the Negate granules, I create and store an intermediate solution with 1 TBSP of Negate granules to 14 ounces of water. This solution can then be used at 1 ounce per gallon for 1000 sq. So you will be diluting it twice! Thank You Nina Capuano **Q: Will this damage/kill Kentucky blue grass or perennial rye grass?** A: Negate 37WG should not be applied to Kentucky Bluegrass turf. Negate 37WG is only labeled for application to warm season bermudagrass and zoyiagrass when used on residential lawns. **Q: After applying this to my lawn that's full of poa annua, how long should I wait to cut my grass?** A: Each herbicide may be different, but 99% of the herbicides I use tell you not to mow the grass for at least two days prior and two days after the application. And obviously you don't want to apply when rain is in the forecast. You may want to mix with or do a different application of a pre-emergent such as prodiamine or dithiopyr. If you're using Dithiopyr as a post-emergent, I believe you need to apply it as a spray for foliar absorption. If you put it down as granules, it doesn't have the post-emergent effect from what I've heard. These pre-emergents will help prevent any new or existing seeds from successfully germinating and allow your warm season turf to spread and fill in the area without competition. 1 TSP would be all I need for my lawn, and that' still overkill. 1 TSP would give me enough to treat my lawn several times. **Q: Can I over-seed bermudagrass after I use Negate?** A: According to the label, you can overseed 28 days after applying Negate 37WG.
