In other words there is no "click" as it closes just a smooth glide and a stop. I apologize for the bad descriptor. I am by no means a pro reviewer. Would I recommend this pen? You could find someone to do custom work on the nib to make it finer...but it might cost more than buying a new pen with a FINE nib. **Q: Will a con-20 fit the E95?** A: Yes, the Con-20 should fit. One came with the pilot metropolitan I bought a couple years ago and it fit right into the Elite. **Q: What’s the difference between elite and e95s?** A: A Pilot pen identical to the E95s is available from Japan which has the name "Elite" on it. The only difference is that it is a Japanese model and the North American (E95s) model just has the "E", probably for copyright reasons. Other than that, there are a number of older short-long Pilot pen models made over the years which were also sold under the name "Elite," which mostly had gold nibs and were generally somewhat smaller than the E95s. There is also a Korean version which is currently available which you might see on ebay. That one has a steel nib and is much thinner than the E95s, as well as less expensive.
