Ordered 2 brands, x-small and the BALEAF Women's 3 Inches Active Fitness Compression Volleyball Shorts Workout Spandex fit perfectly, tight, but fit. They also have a wider waistband & leg elastic. These x-small Mizuno Vortex Volleyball Shorts are a little too tight have a thin waistband and leg elastic. I am hoping they stretch out over a few washings & wearings. I will keep these as a backup since they were sale priced. They stopped selling the shorts I ordered a 3 pack of black, so I switched to these 2 brands/types as a compromise. In general, I really like how they are a little longer than most spanx. I am a size 8 in US Jeans and size 27-28 in levis, I ordered a size large and it fit great. Glad that it did not give me a muffin top, but the legs do ride up quite easily. I would not wear these without something on too however because it doesnt compress my butt enough and so its kind of unflattering, but its great if ur wearing it under a skirt as safety shorts or something.
