The fire was in a really awkward corner to access so smothering the fire fully with the blanket was difficult, after applying the blanket I used wet rung out towels to weigh the blanket down and smother the remains of the fire and this is how we still have a home to sleep in tonight. The fire was out within 10 mins, before the fire brigade arrived and thankfully caused minimal damage due to us using this so quickly!
