    Threads and stud length.

The casing threads (that are on the product did not match) are not SAE comparable w/ the GM Bellhousing. Also, the length is adequate, however, I had to ‘shorten’ the stud shaft since it was too long for my application using a 4-speed tranny.

First, this is listed as fitting GM vehicles from 1955 - 1983. The more common use for this would be for a Muncie transmission. Funny part is, it protrudes out of the back of the bellhousing and prevents the transmission from being bolted up. So, I'm not real sure why they claim its for GM vehicles since a Muncie is a factory transmission. My particular setup is a 1967 Olds 442 with a Lakewood bellhousing and a super Muncie.The only way to make this fit is to set your depth, then cut it down and weld it together. I was going to do this, but my particular one has a cooked nut! Not a little either.... Its SERIOUSLY crooked. There's no WAY the manufacturer could have missed this. It's useless with this nut like this. Stay away, there are better options.
