It comes with 2 metal filters, I found that the one with larger holes worked best for resin. I had seen some reports here that the little filters don't stay in place, perhaps those were older reviews, my experience is that they stay perfectly in place. The filters have little spring arms that extend down into the spout of the funnel and hold the filter very well. I use the basic filter for returning resins to their bottle, and the tighter filter to sift out the impurities in the alcohol. Being stainless steel, it's very easy to clean, and super sturdy.The filters both have little metal legs on them that work to hold each filter in place, and they do such a good job I sometimes have difficulty pinching them out to clean because they're so slick from the resin.
