I had started with nothing, and didn't want to get a whole large kit of cheap quality products. After lots of research, i had discovered some very basic tools which this kit had most of them to get me started. These tools are great quality that should last a few years into the hobby and won't break the bank in the process. I'd recommend this kit over a hive that comes with everything, or a kit that has just entirely way too many tools of lower quality.
