Ikea LEDARE LED bulb E12, chandelier, twisted clear

OK, I want more energy conserving bulbs for a lamp, but really?? aren't these ugly? but after purchasing a few I think this is really a good product. The white base is not 'ugly' like others, it actually somewhat blends in with the lamp. Now, I like the next feature, but you may not -- the light from these bulbs casts UP, if you do a lot of writing, etc. at a table with these bulbs in a lamp overhead, it will be good lighting, but not direct lighting. For dinner, it is great.

I was a little bummed by the price, but overall, I'm happy with the bulb and it works well with the Ikea lamp I purchased (after making the 2 hour trip to Ikea and realizing I forgot to purchase the bulb).

Works great, hasnt burnt out and its been nearly a year since it was installed.
