Sad but true. I'm not a teacher, but have many friends who are and I hear stories about "no child left behind" programs and test scores all the time. While telling it like it is at school the author also mixes in a little romance, a little sorrow, and a joke cracking neighbor into the mix to make the story a real page turner. So whether you're a teacher or not it's a good read.
