That can be remedied by adding some foam rubber pipe insulation. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Too expensive, Strange shipping, Should have made my own. *by C***W on June 19, 2012* OK, so these are decent wall hooks for my yak, but they are entirely too expensive and the shipping was a major hassle (see below). In a nutshell, these are just two pieces of heavy aluminum tube stock bent to the proper angle, hammered flat at one end with a couple holes drilled, and a smart looking nylon sheath sewn and placed over the pieces to protect your yak. I could tell from the pictures they were nothing more than this, but I needed a quick solution and had no time (nor a bending jig) to make them myself so I ordered anyway. You could very easily create a set of these yourself with about 15 minutes, some pipe, a hack saw, a hammer, a cordless drill, and a couple old towels to wrap around the pipes. Wouldn't look as pretty, but would be just as functional. Odd shipping: the company actually shipped these to me via freight carrier. Meaning they were shipped on a large truck and it took several extra days to receive them because the freight company had to call and make sure I would be home to accept delivery. The even stranger piece to this was they listed the package listed as 75 pounds and measuring as large as a full pallet of goods (a pallet is approx 42" x 42" and they actually had one of the dimensions of this package as 144" - a complete fabrication). The thing was all of 8 pounds at most and measured in at 18" x 18" x 4". Have no idea why they shipped it that way, but what a hassle - had to coordinate to get out of work early, help a truck driver navigate a turn around in our neighborhood, and sign for the package. FedEx Ground or UPS Ground would have been much more convenient for all involved... Last note: quality was acceptable in most areas, but one of the hooks wasn't bent to the same angle as the other. Not a major issue, but for the price I would expect a better QC check before shipping. I bent the bad one to match the other and they are installed and working adequately.
