The 3 mm is very tiny if you want a little heavier duty or more visible than I would suggest going up to a 4 mm, or maybe five if you want really really dainty then 3 mm is perfect. I do feel the length is a little shorter than what it says so I would recommend going up one size or at least buy an extender for yourself. But I definitely recommend this chain in this company. Everything I've bought and purchased from them is been very good quality with beautiful amazing wrapping. You could actually send this as a gift just as is because it is wrapped so beautifully.
