WindRider UPF 50+ Ultimate UV Protection Neck Gaiter, Facemask, Headband, Scarf – Great Sun Protection in The Summer and Winter – for Fishing, Sailing, Skiing All Summer and Winter Sports

I use a neck gaiter such as this for neck and face protection from wind, rain, and sun in Florida; I am both a recreational and commercial mariner and on the water 2+ times a week, year round. First off, the price of the gaiter is right -- this one costs less than "name brands" from the Marine Store. But second, and better, the gaiter is more comfortable than more expensive gaiters that I own, is longer (thus more versatile in how I can use it) than others, and seems to provide better wind and water protection without being hot. I have only used this a few times since purchase a couple of weeks ago but I have had the chance to use it in hot weather (low 80s) and what passes as cold here (in the low 60s!).COMPLETE DISCLOSURE -- I was offered a good deal to buy this gaiter as long as I would write a review; I was not asked to write a good review, just write a review! The bottom-line is that I go though two to three gaiters every year and this is what I will be buying in the future.

As a New Yorker, I deal with freezing temperatures and biting wind for up to 6 months per year. I was really excited to try this product and it did not disappoint. It keeps my neck warm without overheating, and is flexible depending on how much of my face I wish to cover. It is small and light yet is extremely powerful. Props to WindRider for a product that I didn't know that I needed but is now essential for my New York winters.

This is very good quality and works just as promised. It makes a huge difference with sun exposure while mowing my acreage and is very breathable. You don’t even feel it after wearing for a while. It also makes a big difference for the amount of dust and dirt you inhale while working on equipment. I highly recommend this!

This is a high quality, good looking neck gaiter. Since it's designed mainly for UV protection it won't get a full workout until later in 2020 but I can report it is very comfortable for layering in a downhill skiing setup and will clearly add protection against neck burn when I take it out on the water this summer. The blue "camo" pattern looks cool and I suspect it will make me a better sailor!

I found the gaiter from Windrider very useful under my snowboard helmet. Very light but keeps the face from windburn and sunburn reflected off the snow. I will use it also this summer while sailing and kayaking. The price is very reasonable. It is a great piece that has multiple uses in an outdoor wardrobe. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is a very comfortable gaiter. I use it when I am mowing, when it is dusty, and when I am horseback riding. I love this gaiter. The uv protection is a plus so I won't get too much sun.

This is lightweight, well-made, and extremely comfortable. Fits up nicely over the ears if you want to wear it under a baseball cap. I have trouble wearing sunscreen on my face because of eye irritation, and this is a great alternative.

Having recently spent some quality time with the dermatologist, I decided sun screen and hats weren't doing enough to protect my face when out on the water. I knew I'd be sailing on a recent trip so I threw the Windrider neck gaiter in the bag. This was my first time to use one. It worked great. I was concerned that it would feel constrictive, and was pleasantly surprised. Hardly noticed it was on. I'll be keeping a couple of these in my boat bag!
