Review: Must have in your studio - I like this kit a lot and like howmuch it has enabled me to add more dimensions to my music. The synthesizer is awesome. **Q: Hi, do you have to connect through apple products? will it work with my lenovo laptop? thanks.**
A: No need for Apple - it works great on USB with PCs

**Q: Does it come with the full version of equator?**
A: No, it comes with the lite version but you can upgrade at a cheaper price at the Roli site.

**Q: How well does it work in daw's? i use logic pro x and was wondering if you can get the same vibrato fx using logics software instruments or eastwest?**
A: Works really well-using cable or Bluetooth, Logic Pro automatically maps the 5 dimensions of touch to some standard sound patches, with a bit of fiddling you can map it to work with any setting. Or you can just use Roli noise and hook it up like an instrument..if you use midi mapping on a normal keyboard you’ll have no problem working with Roli boards-good luck 👍🏻

**Q: What's the difference between this version and the Studio Edition? Any difference in terms of hardware?**
A: Hi. According to what I've just seen on ROLI website it seems to be a bundle with additional software they added in meantime, after I purchased my keyboard. Also at the moment they've got sale and most of the hardware is now for half price, so if you really thinking about buying from them, it's best time

I like this kit a lot and like howmuch it has enabled me to add more dimensions to my music. The synthesizer is awesome. Equator has got 3 OSC!! thats awesome! the Strobe is a must have sequencer. The Lightpad and Seaboard combo is a must have in your studio. However, I am not quite happy with ROLI customner service. They still have an open ticket since 3 months.

I’ve been through two of these already. Both had issues with the seaboard block. The first one... somehow the whole top surface of the seaboard was upside down, so it was completely unusable as none of the “keys” matched with what the software was showing. The second unit has a problem with the whole body of the seaboard coming apart on one of the corner and making an awful cracking noise when using it in that area. For the price it’s frankly unacceptable quality.
