Don't cut in half. Makes me sleepy. *by C***Y on June 8, 2022* So, after doing a bit of research, I decided to start taking Sam-e for a variety of issues, including depression as a result of perimenopause. I sought out this brand, because it's coated, and less likely to upset the stomach. (I have an ulcer, and didn't want to take any chances).I noticed fairly quickly that I get extremely tired earlier in the day. I generally don't sleep great, so that was okay. But I couldn't keep my eyes open after about 7pm. (I take this pill with my coffee in the morning). After several days of this, I did some more research. I didn't come up with much, except that some people were starting at a lower dose of 200mg. This pill is 400mg, so I thought maybe I could just cut the pill in half. BAD IDEA. DO NOT CUT IN HALF. My stomach wasn't at all okay with this. So, I just stopped taking it for a couple of days, to make sure everything was okay, and then started my regimen over.Do your own research, but some have suggested taking a good Vitamin B-12 complex with this, so that's what I'm doing. I will be sure to mention all of this to the doctor when I finally go in to address my "female health".As for pain, I typically have achiness in my neck and shoulders. It did seem to lessen a bit, but not completely, after starting this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Life-changing! *by A***D on May 7, 2023* This is my first experience with SAM-e supplements, after a lot of research and discussing with my therapist and Ayurvedic doctor, I decided to try it out. Just three days of taking one dose in the morning with food, I felt like a whole new balanced version of myself. I had energy and motivation for the first time in years. Had a couple of bad incidents (deaths, breakup) happen to me, and could feel I was much more emotionally balanced going through them, thanks to SAM-e combined with yoga, exercise, and a healthier diet. 4 months later and I don’t feel the need to go on antidepressants. I tried a couple other brands since then and they still worked, but not as well. I’ll be sticking with this brand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clean version of SAM-E *by K***O on June 30, 2024* This doesn't work right away. It takes about 1-2 weeks with daily dosing, but it does seem to bring some body ache relief and boost in mood.
