Installation was quick and easy for me as I pretty much have no clue what I am doing but I am learning as I go. I really got a kick out of the chain gliding onto the largest chain wheel as I clicked 1 through 3 and 3 through 1 over and over. The old Shimano shifter had pretty much fallen apart. The shifter works well—I have both sides—and it’s easier to shift compared to a thumb shifter or grip shifter. You use your thumb to shift with the front lever and your index finger for the rear lever, which operates between the handlebar and brake lever.
