The wind was so bad that I had to tie everything to everything else - my tent to my truck, my canopy to my truck, my canopy to my tent, myself to the ground - no, really, it was bad. But one thing that impressed my socks off?...these sand screws stayed put. ALL my other stakes (for the shade canopy, the tent, the rain fly) all moved in the sand and had to be hammered back down several times a day. These sand screws stayed put the whole time and I never had to adjust them.
