Review: Great value, great picture quality and reliable capture of anything going on in its field of vision. - Great video quality. Once set up you don't need an internet connection. I have full time internet and have tried a few other cameras that always send their video to a distant server so there is a delay between what's happening on the camera view and what's actually happening outside. This can be several seconds or sometimes over a minute depending on internet activity. This camera does send its feed to a server so you can view from another location but if you are at home and watching what's going on you get a live feed from your own routers WiFi so the image is real time. There is an excellent phone app and a very comprehensive app for your home PC running Windows or Mac. Far better than all the other cameras I have tried before. You can set motion detection so it picks up any movement, or just triggered by persons or even just animals or any combination of the 3. Very good value for money as it can either save to a cloud server which you pay for as many other cameras, but it also saves to a SD card in the camera itself. You have the option when viewing to save any important video clips saved on your SD card to be copied to your hard drive, USB stick etc should you need it for evidence. A good camera with reliable and full featured apps.

Very easily adjustable can basically mount it anywhere. Only complaint is that when it switches between day and night mode I get a motion alert.

**Q: can it be mounded on a wall or ceiling?**
A: Hello, it can be mounted on the ceiling and you can rotate the image 180 degrees to get the right image. It's not suggested to mount it on the wall, since it may affect the viewing angle.

**Q: Is it possible to link to sinology to copy SD card footage in the same way as reolink C1 ?,**
A: Hi, yes, E1 pro supports ONVIF 2.1 protocol to Synology.

**Q: Will this send me notifications triggered my sound rather than movement. For example using to monitor a baby will it notify me if she cries? Thanks**
A: Hi, sorry that this camera does not support sound detection, it currently only supports to be triggered by movement.

Love this camera. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product

We use this mostly to monitor our dogs whilst we are out shopping, just in case. The software is easy to setup and you can zoom in/out as well as pan/tilt. Software works on mobile phones and also on a PC. You can also have preset positions of your own choosing, so you click on the preset and the camera automatically goes to that location - a bit like the memory setting on modern car seats. You are also able to hear what's going on in the room, as well as talk to people, and the quality of the speaker and microphone is more than adequate. Dogs could clearly tell it was "me" talking to them by their reactions, although they were a bit confused at first by the fact they could see me. They got used to it. Quality of picture at night is excellent, and if you go into hi-res mode you can really see the detail when you zoom in. There is more than enough detail that if someone was to enter a room in darkness, you'd clearly make out their features. Setting up using a wired ethernet connection was really easy. However, I could not get it to work over wifi, despite numerous attempts and researching different approaches via the internet. I would get so far through the process and then it would start over. That could be a deal breaker for many, as not everyone is able to hard wire gadgets into their home networks. I think a few other people have experience similar problems. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing if someone is watching you via the camera - I would have liked to have had that facility for peace of mind. This combined with the wifi setup difficulty means it loses a star. You can store pictures/video to an SD card I've not used the motion detector yet so cannot comment on that. For a simple, quick to set-up camera I think this is great value for money. I didn't want a camera that integrated with Alexa or other such systems as I don't trust them yet. We only switch it on when going out, and it automatically registers and sets itself up on the home network every time without a fault.
