Review: Greta product of course! - I like the fit, it comes with the gasket, and it works great no leaks no overheating. Runs at 175 degrees
Review: Easy install, high quality part, much better with integrated seals - If you need a thermostat for your 1999-2003 Ford 7.3, this is it. I've been operating with a bad thermostat for three years and decided after a very cold drive it needed to be replaced ASAP. It's easy to replace and doesn't require any extra seals. I would recommend buying a new housing (Motorcraft RH63) in addition to this. Also, if you have an upper radiator hose that goes through the serpentine belt, this will be a good time to replace it with the one that goes around (Motorcraft KM4351). Tools: Channel locks Socket Wrench (8mm and 1/2" I believe...) Putty knife Flat Screwdriver Directions: 1) Drain roughly a gallon or two of coolant, squeeze the upper hose to tell when its down to where you won't make a mess 2) Remove the upper radiator hose 3) Unbolt the three bolts around the housing 4) Remove the old one, pry it with a screwdriver if necessary 5) Scrape crud off the sealing platform making sure it doesn't fall into the coolant 6) Put the new one in, put the housing on and torque to 20 ft-lb. No need for RTV, but you can put a little if you want. 7) Spray a little (keyword little) wd40 on the housing to make putting the upper hose on possible 8) Fill coolant, check for leaks, test drive, check for leaks

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this product pollute the vegan oil in my motor?**
A: Unusual question. Oil in a motor is not supposed to come in contact with the coolant fluid. Separate systems. If it does, you have a blown head gasket or cracked block.

**Q: Do I need any gaskets with this?**
A: It is recommended to go ahead and change the thermostat housing when you change the thermostat. The housing should come with a new gasket if I recall correctly.

**Q: You have the install instructions with a torque spec of 20 foot pounds, this is wrong and will snap off these small bolts. 15 foot pounds and no more?**
A: There are so many different torque values floating around from 100-110 in/lbs to 18 ft/lbs. I think some of theoroblem is there are different types of housings. The aftermarket is Billett Aluminum and can handle higher torque but the original Ford housing is a thin stamped steel and tightening the bolts to even 15 ft/lbs will cause the thin steel to bend and not apply equal force.

Err on the side of caution and you can always snug them up a bit more if they leak. 100-110 in/lbs

**Q: Does this fit 2012 ford e350 super duty 5.4l?**
A: I don't know, but when I get a question like this I call the auto parts store or dealer parts dept and compare part numbers to see if they are the same
