It rides smooth as a stroller and as a trailer, the materials and stitching are solid, and getting it attached and detached from the bike is fast and easy. Attaching and removing the handlebar is pretty clumsy, so I will only be doing that when I have no choice and need to fold the whole thing down flat for portability, but I doubt I could come up with a better solution, and it's much better than not having the option to collapse the trailer at all. I had to get some help from a friend more familiar with a stepping drill bit and some scrap metal to make a custom attachment for my e-bike (Prodeco Phantom x2) because the InStep coupler is too small, so it would be good if they could make more than one coupler attachment available as a separate purpose, but maybe that will sort itself out as the e-bike market grows. We were not disappointed. This trailer is ROOMY, with 25" of interior width (actually a bit more due the frame design) which is the same as the 600 dollar d'lite or the chariot. The spoked wheels and suspension design allow for a really smooth ride for the boys, and handled being on a 10 mile trail beautifully. It offers splendid storage space in the back which held a tent, two sleepsacks and a small igloo. The boys actually had space inside for blankets,books and their small day packs. The parking brake is quickly engaged and effective, is warm with with the weather shield down, but allows for cool ventilation in the Texas heat. It has a slightly padded 5 point harness. (this is where it differs with the higher end models, which have a plush harness, in Texas, less is more. This unit takes about 5 minutes to set up out of the box, the longest time was spent putting the mount of my bike while my boys kept trying to climb inside the trailer. The stroller wheels store upside down and are simple to remove and covert. (no clips like with other models; very well thought out) The seat adjusts with the use of two belts underneath and does not need to be readjusted each time you store your trailer. Unlike other models with rely only on velcro, this has a good combination of Velcro and snaps, which really help in the wind. With every double trailer, cornering is a pretty big issue, but the instep really did a good job and performed at the same level as other trailers that are about 4X as expensive. End result: If you have more than one kid, especially if one of them is slightly claustrophobic, THIS is the trailer for you. Words cannot describe the joy I felt at seeing my boys giggle and laugh while safely strapped with helmets. This is NOT a jogging stroller, though the stroller feature only takes 3mins to covert from hitched position and is a really smooth ride. I was prepared to pay 400- 700 dollars and then I tried the Instep.
