Used one to replace the light in a passenger air bag key on off switch in a 2004 Ford Ranger. The bulb is smaller than the OEM one and so are the leads, so the amber silicon sleeve does not fit snugly and there is a little more solder filling the through holes, but the amber silicon sleeve does stay on so it is not bright white light, at least. Got rid of the flashing code 27 and everything works normally. Less than a dollar a bulb and a little desolder/solder time and saved way over a hundred dollars if I had to replace the whole switch. Only time will tell how long it will last, but so far so good.
