Tom and Friends Plush Toy 5292522136748 Talking Friends Talking Ginger Superstar

I ordered this last week and it arrived two days ahead of schedule (a couple weeks before the anticipated delivery date listed). It required 3 AA batteries (not included), and arrives in a shoebox type box (inside a shipping box) and also comes with a bag and USB cable and a pamphlet. The battery compartment is sort of a tight fit, meaning when the batteries are installed and I'm trying to 'seal' up the back again, there isn't a lot of give and looks as though the velcro may easily detach from the other side's velcro. My son has wanted this toy for quite some time and he finally earned it so we purchased it here from Amazon rather than the talking friends website because those are shipped from the UK. I put batteries in it and synced it up with the app (Talking Superstars) without any problems. Once that was taken care of, I went to the website that is listed in the pamphlet and downloaded the new 'sleepy' sounds pack for the doll. My computer did take a bit longer than usual to download the driver for this, so be patient. Once the download was complete, I was able to sync the new sounds to the doll without any issues and before I knew it, Ginger was singing "Rockabye Baby". I do believe these toys are pretty spendy, and the shipping is quick but it's pricey, (which is why I only rated it 4 stars), but the doll does everything the app advertised it to do, and my little guy gets to open it when he gets home from school today... I'm eager to see the look on his face :) So far, I am happy with my purchase- I have not had any issues yet.

The original Talking Tom simply repeated everything it heard. My non-verbal child LOVED having someone who could speak "her language". This new Ginger does all sorts of fancy sounds, but it DOES NOT repeat what you say to it. My daughter is so disappointed. She cannot interact with it like she wants to do. I cannot find the original anywhere. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase.

Trash. Horrible toy. My young daughter saw this on her iPad and she has been begging for months to get the toy. She has special needs and I thought it would help. I spent $50 on each toy. Tom, ginger, and angela. They don't work. They don't talk to each other and they don't interact with the app like they say they will. It has about four prerecorded sounds. A fart, a song, sleeping, and a laugh. Which gets old quickly. Then it comes with a download cable which does nothing.You go to the website and it says sounds are not available yet. Then when you get the notice that they are available, they only come in windows version. If you have a mac, it won't download the file because it works with windows only. Although there are instructions for the mac download, it is no where to be found. Worst $150 I have ever spent.

my daughter loves talking tom and friends and has a talking tom superstar. I got this one for her birthday, the box it comes in is so great like a keepsake box.The pc part doesn't work as their is no longer an app for it but you don't need it as they talk, sing and tell jokes

5yo sin got ginger as Christmas present still plays with it. Sings songs, tells jokes and overall cute toy. Comes with beautiful box and bag. Didn't connect to PC will try connect it to laptop.

Not very good. Don't do much and as for interactive. You can kick it around the room if you're a dog lover.

Beware- most of the apps that work with this are not available in Ireland / Uk, doesn’t do anything when you connect to a PC, no additional songs came on. and doesn’t interact with the apps that you are able to download in UK. Nice teddy but useless if you are not in America

It is the most amazing toy I’ve ever seen. It is sooooooooooo brilliant although it was smaller than expected but remember…batteries are not included and they are aa batteries. Really worth the price only £34.99 so try it will shock you how great it is so go go and get it and love it and be happy.By sophie age 8
