## Overview

The Imer Combicut 250VA is a professional-grade wet tile saw featuring a powerful 1.75 hp high torque motor, capable of cutting tiles up to 28" in length (31" with plunge cut) and 3-3/4" deep. ## Description

The 72 lb. Combi 250VA is Imer's bread and butter 10" tile saw. This saw sets the standard for overhead rail saws for cutting tile and stone on the jobsite. It includes the new Imer 1.75 hp class-leading motor. Aircraft quality cast aluminum materials make for a rigid and light weight saw which will maintain its finish for years to come. This makes the saw extremely easy to clean: just spray with WD-40 and wipe clean. For additional accuracy, the 250VA includes a laser guide. This improves accuracy, a feature this saw was known for already! This allows very accurate chip free cutting, as grout joints and slab look installation sare more and more common. For these larger tiles, the included extension table makes cutting easier and more convenient. The new 1.75 hp, high torque motor means this saw cuts even faster than it's predecessor. Sealed bushings ensure plunge cuts are smooth and precise. Comes with blade, stand and accessory side table. The feet on the stand are rubber so the stand won't slip on or scratch the floor.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Saw On The Market - Hands Down
*by K***. on May 22, 2017*

Imer sure makes a great product. I needed a saw that would cut large tiles without any deviation. I researched all the popular saws on the market but, they all seem to have a lot of end play in their design. With large format tiles, a cut that is even a little off, stands out like a sore thumb. My first experience with this saw was from a rental shop. I loved it so much I had to buy it. Also, I think that says something about a product when it can be put through the abuse of a rental shop and still perform great. Every other saw I looked at seemed to be made more out of plastic than metal. This saw has very little plastic. When I read another review on amazon about this product somebody said they couldn't get it to cut straight. IMO to only way that could happen with this saw is if somebody dropped it off a roof. In that case any saw would have a problem cutting straight. Either way, here's why I love this saw:PROS:1. Cuts super straight out of the box2. Preset laser cut guide that actually works3. Handles large tiles with ease4. Smooth plunge cut action5. Can cut any angle up to 45 degrees6. 45 degrees is preset - so miter cuts are simple7. Forward and backward track stops make repeatable cuts extremely easy8. Lightweight - I was able to set it up myself no problem9. Quick setup - 15 minutes from delivery to using it10. Comes with rip and angle guide11. Quite - still need ear plugs but not too bad12. One hand operation13. Super beefyCONS:1. Water containment sucks - I do all my tile cutting in the garage or outside so no big deal2. Bulky - It does't break down much so you'll need some space to store it3. The cutting platform is metal which makes it very durable. However, a rubber coating would be nice. Tile can slide if not secured properly. I usually clamp my tiles down before I cut and they don't move at all.4. As with most saws the stock blade is not that good. Always plan on buying a new blade with the saw.

### ⭐ Not too happy
*by S***R on September 27, 2013*

First of all let me tell you that I have been a tile setter for over thirty five years. I have owned many tile saws. I bought this saw after seeing it displayed in our local tile supply shop and it looked impressive. It is light weight and has smooth movement on the rails. I liked the included stand and the aluminum construction. After reading some reviews i decided to buy one. That is where the honeymoon ended. The first job i used it on required cutting 1/4 inch off the sides of some 3x12 bull nose. The saw consistently produced a bowed cut. Also it did not track for an even cut. Critical if your going to trim around a shower opening. I spend some time going over the manual describing how to set the tracking. After several attempts I contacted the company for additional help. After several hours of call backs and discussions the company felt that the supplied blade should be replaced by a better one. At my cost! Really? For what this saw costs it should have come with a halfway decent blade. Anyway On the next job i purchased a new porcelain blade. One that has received great reviews. No Joy... The dang thing still wont cut straight and Im finding it has a lack of power after using it the next few days. I made complaints to my supply house that in turned contacted the company that I was very unhappy with this saw and was told that there was nothing they would do. Too late to return it to my supply house. Anyway I used it on a few more jobs thinking I might get used to it but it just got worse. Now the rip fence wont stay square. It uses a bolt to snug it up but when I try to tighten it causes the fence to go out of alignment. Really poor design. Next I am finding that the aluminum vertical brackets and many parts on the tray are starting to corrode. This after only four or five jobs. They use cast aluminum in many places that cant handle water very well. This was a $1300 mistake. Poor support from the company. I took this saw off my truck only after three months and went back to my original Dewalt. I swore to my supply house that i would give bad reviews if Imers would not address my concerns. Here is one of them

### ⭐⭐ Poor quality control
*by G***T on November 22, 2015*

Just bought this saw today at a masonry store. Drove 3 hours to get there and then looked at the saw. The table looked a bit flimsy but bought it anyways cause I drove so far to get it. When I got home, I tried it right away and the cuts were terrible. The saw was binding to the left so bad that the blade cut in the aluminium table a bit. Then I decide to take a good look. The blade was not perpendicular to the table. Was way out to lunch. Only way to fix that is to take out the four Allen screws holding the motor and I put thick spacer washers on 2 Allen bolt on one end to put the motor perpendicular to the blade. On the other end, I noticed the factory had put a very thin spacer plate but it was put on the wrong end of the motor making it even more crooked. Poor quality control if you ask me. Then I notice the blade was not 90 degree to the table. Only way to fix that was to use a 3/8 drill bit and spend 30 minutes reaming the slotted holes longer so I could tilt the saw assembly far enough so it could be 90 degree to the table. Then of course I had to adjust the tile rest nice and square. Then finally the saw performed well. The rail system rides on nylon wheels and has no play making the cuts nice and straight. The motor is really quiet. Usually quiet motors are of high quality. Pretty powerful too. So I give the motor a five star. The rest of the saw is really flimsy with poor design.I should have bought an MK Diamond 212.
