### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Timer for a Shooting Match

### ⭐⭐⭐ nice level volume, not the greatest kitchen timer, can use as a travel alarm clock

I have to say that I don't really like this timer because it's got a lot of extra functions and features that I will probably never use. And the features that I do use are a little bit of a pain to do and could use some improving. It is also a larger sized timer and takes up more room on the counter and it more noticeable. I stick with using it because I can't find a better one with a quiet alarm. This one has a nice quiet alarm beep that doesn't feel like it's screaming at me. I can still hear it all over the house wherever I am, so the volume is perfectly adequate for what I need. So many other timers are just way way too loud. I should also mention that this one sounds like the speaker that creates the beeping is dying. I don't know if all the timers sound like that or just the one I got. It's an annoying sound that adds a hoarseness and scratchiness to the beeping, but the volume is good.When you are pressing the buttons, there is not much of a click and no beep to let you know the timer registered the entry. You have to press hard and make sure the digital display shows what you entered.The buttons for the saved times (m1, m2, m3, m4) are right next to the number key pad and I'm constantly pressing the 3 instead of m3.When you set the timer for, let's say 2 minutes, and it counts down and then starts beeping...it doesn't show the end time, it just starts counting up to let you know how much time has passed since the alarm went off. So if you don't remember what you set it for, you don't have a way to find out. For example if you are cooking pasta and want to add something in like vegetables at a certain time, you'd set the timer for 5 minutes. When the timer goes off you'd add the veggies to the boiling pasta water and then go to set the timer for the additional time needed...but what if you can't remember if you set it for 5 or 6 minutes? You have no way to find out how long the pasta has already cooked so you have to guess at the remaining cooking time.You also have to remember what you've set the memory buttons for. You have to press each one to find out which one is the one you want. By the time you find the right one, you could have already manually entered the time. So you have to try to memorize which button is which time setting or else they are useless.When the timer goes off, it starts counting up until you silence it by pressing the start/stop button. Then you have to remember to press the C/AC button to clear that left-over count so that you can enter a new time the next time you use the timer. If you forget to clear that count it stays there and messes up the next time entry. So, if it takes you 8 seconds to turn off the beeping and then you want to set it for 5 minutes and you forget to clear the 8 second count, you will be setting the timer for 85 minutes and then have to delete and re-enter the correct 5 minute time. It's really annoying.I do like that you can set this timer for up to 99 hrs 99 min and 99 sec. You could use it as an alarm clock, and it would work well as a travel alarm clock. It has a clock setting which shows the current time like a digital alarm clock, and when you go to bed you can set the timer to go off in 8 hours or whenever it is you need to wake up.I've never used the clock, interval timer or count-up modes.I wouldn't really recommend this timer unless you think you need all those extra features. The only reason I didn't return it is because the timer has a nice gentle volume on the low setting and that is hard to find.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flashing Light is Useless, but Beep is Loud

I have partial hearing loss and am tired of not hearing my timers go off, so I selected this timer because it included a flashing light. However, it turns out the light is about the size of pinhead and unless I'm looking directly at it, I can't tell it's flashing. I keep the timer on my desk next to where I'm working on the computer and even out of the corner of my eye, that flashing light doesn't get my attention. However, I was delighted to discover that this timer is really as loud as it says it is. I can hear it every time, whether I'm sitting next to it or across the room, so I don't need the light.When I purchased it, all I cared about was knowing when time was up, but as I've used it, I've fallen in love with some of the features. The one thing I don't like is clearing the times so I can set a new one. I was used to one push of a button, but each digit showing needs to be deleted one at a time before a new time can be inputted. However, I tend to mostly use the same time frames, so I love that I can program 4 times into memory and bypass deleting any numbers to start it with one push of a button.I like being able to switch from timer to clock mode. The digital numbers are large and easier to read than the tiny time stamp on the corner of my computer screen. I have even used the count up feature a few times when I wanted to know how long it took me to do something (like in counting exercise minutes to report to my weight loss group), or when I am going to be interrupted and need to pause it - so much easier than writing down times and doing a lot of math.Because of the extra features I probably would have by-passed this model if not for that flashing light as I'd not had a timer I can easily hear even when they are labeled as being loud. I'm so glad I bought this one. I didn't know what I was missing. I love it and would buy it again.
