**Q: Can these be used for holding the hands on an old clock. There is a small hole in the narrow shaft where I believe a pin was once inserted.**
A: The Clock taper pins are of multiple sizes and from my own experience you are more or less sure to find one that fits. I ordered them without knowing the size I required for an old ship's clock and within minutes I had found one to fit when my Amazon parcel was delivered. Only snag is that you then have 99 spare ones !!!!

A: They all seem to be cut about the same length of approx 24mm.

**Q: what diameters are the pins?**
A: The smallest diameter is about 0.75mm
