If you need a slightly louder set, this one is NOT for you. This is only half of the volume of my older Panasonic KX-TGE433B . **Q: battery life on a call 1-2 hours ? before needing to put on charger** A: I purchased a new set of these phones to replace a worn out 10 year old Panasonic set. I did notice the batteries needed to be fully charged 3 or 4 times before reaching max talk time. After a week or so on my desk ( and FULLY charging the batteries every other day) the phones now hold a charge quite well. These phones also provide an audible prompt when the battery level is low. I feel the batteries need to be 'conditioned' with repeated LOW BATTERY and FULLY CHARGED cycles before holding the longer charges.
