It is vacuum insulated which helps to keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold for a really long time. I have been using it for the past 10 days and carrying to my workplace as well as to the gym. I haven't experienced any leaks so far and the cap fits really well, so I don't expect that it will ever leak irrespective of the position that the bottle is kept in. It keeps the water cold for more than 15 hours. I normally like to fill cold water at night and keep the bottle by my bedside and the water remains cold till morning time.
