I even have a home glucose meter and it matched as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Consistent Low Accuracy *by M***I on September 18, 2024* My test results were consistent but around 20 points lower than lab results I got from my doctor. This is a good monitoring tool to track the effect your diet and exercise has on your cholesterol levels. However, you need to have at least one precise lab test done at the same time as one of these CURO L7 tests to see what the difference is. This worked out well for me to track the effect of taking dairy products out of my diet, which led me to a significant change in lowering my cholesterol. Having only 5 tests available with this kit, even though there are 10 lancets and 10 blood draw tubes, is a bit disappointing. I guess it was still worth it since I messed up a couple of times, drawing bubbles into the tube and not squeezing out a large enough drop of blood before the puncture clotted. Starting over with a fresh tube, a couple of times, and again with a fresh lancet, another time, seemed like a waste. At least there were spares to get this done right. A will likely buy a refill pack with 10 test strips some time in the future. For now, I have these 5 tests to relatively compare to a lab test, before starting the CURO tests, and a lab test done after the forth CURO L7 test, over a 5 week period with no dairy consumption. If I had totally trusted my doctor's advise, I would have been on some statin medication a long time ago. I now know there is no need for drugs, so that's a good thing. One bit of advice I can give is to fast for at least 8 hours before testing yourself. 12 hours would be better. Testing in the morning is convenient, after 8 hours of sleeping. Coffee or tea, with no cream or sugar, is acceptable to consume while you fast, or just drink water. Stay hydrated. This is no different than the instructions your doctor will give you prior to having blood drawn for a lab test. Do this to ensure the best accuracy of the test.
