**Q: Does it need power**
A: It gets the power from the speaker wire you're connecting to it. Does not require an independent source.

**Q: I need a converter for my home a/v receiver.It has about a 110 watt x7 output.If possible I would like one that not need a 12 volt supply.**
A: It dont run it straight to speakers

**Q: what do I need to power it at home? AC, I think this is for 12 vdc?**
A: No power is needed at most there’s a ground loop in case you have noise on the line.

**Q: Will it take the speaker level output of my car radio and lower the signal level tothe RCA input of an amplifier?**
A: Yes that is what it is for. It also has an extra ground to eliminate line static and a line gain control for each side. This is a nice unit I highly recommend
