Jazzminton is very easy to play also for young kids but it always differs from one child to another. It's great exercise and quite a bit of fun when we're out camping. The paddles are comfortable even in an adults hands. The 'birdies' are color coded by speed which is helpful. If Yellow is too fast you can use Red. I actually thought that was a nice addition. I gave it 4 stars because one of the birdies basically fell apart on the 1st day (there are 3 feather glued into the rubber end and one feather fell out). It's not the end of the world, things like this happen and we have another.
