The only difference is the name on the box. I bought two for my Index and they setup and worked perfectly. **Q: Will this work with original base station?** A: No. They use different tracking methods. Also 2.0 base station wont work with original vive, only vive pro and probably the valve index. **Q: Do these come in a pack of 2+ or do I have to purchase these separately?** A: You can get 1 for 180 degree tracking for sitting VR, but if you want 360 degree tracking, you should get 2. I had no issue setting it up and it works perfectly with my valve index and the other two base stations I already had. Original review: In case this happens to anyone else, I ordered this to be a 3rd base station for my new valve index. But what I received was actually a 1.0 base station, which looks different from the pictures and is not compatible with the 2.0 base stations that came with my headset. 1.0 base stations have a flat front and a button on the back to select channel. 2.0 base stations have a curved front and no buttons.
