I've listened to this music over the last 8 years while doing yoga and meditation; while giving bodywork; on going to sleep; and while painting. I find this music to be powerfully soothing and healing, allowing me to fall deeply into my Inner Self. If dis-ease could be discribed as losing touch with the self, this music could be used to come back home. Review: Mesmerizing - great for yoga - A yoga teacher of mine played this during a class, and I was mesmerized. The singing is called Dhrupad and it is really unique. It reminds me a little of Fado which is Portuguese singing. The singing is almost like a lamentation, but not really as it isn't sad, but almost magical and mystical. It is soothing. This would be a great CD for just listening to, to use during a slow yoga class, or a yin yoga class.

A yoga teacher of mine played this during a class, and I was mesmerized. The singing is called Dhrupad and it is really unique. It reminds me a little of Fado which is Portuguese singing.
