This case replaced my clear Vilros case that came with my Pi4 kit, and I did so purely for aesthetic reasons. My previous case was fine, and kept the Pi cool, but didnt stay too clean and seemed to attract a lot of dust, as well as be made of a lower hardness plastic which allowed it to show any dirt, scratches and scuffs more(it also lost one of its rubber feet). I had my eye on this type of Acrylic layered case for a while, and decided on this one because of the price and positive reviews. It was a few bucks cheaper then most and had the best overall reviews. I already had heatsinks and a case fan, but now I have an extra set of both and can save some money on the next Pi I purchase(perhaps the 8GB RAM Pi4 that was released today). The case was easy to put together, good quality, comes with a fan and heatsinks and looks great. I did see people complaining that the fan didnt fit, or fit but didnt spin with a heatsink installed. I did not run into this issue. The CPU heatsink just BARELY and i mean probably less then 1mm fit and the fan does spin and seems to be at full speed. I did have to remove the heatsink for the Ethernet chip because the cutout for the case didnt fit how I had seeded mine, but no big deal since they provided heatsinks. Another thing is that this case is so solid that it completely muffles the sound of the fan at full speed. My Pi4 with Canakit case(black one) did the same thing, but with the clear Vilros on this Pi4, the fan on full speed made a noticeable whine. All in all I am extremely happy with this case and would strongly recommend it to everyone! You cant go wrong, and it looks better then just about every case out there with VERY few exceptions! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2019* With no reviews I was a little concerned but the P4 is a new model. I made some mistakes in installing the final layer and fan and had to re-install them, but those were my goofs and didn't hurt anything. Besides, not all that time consuming. The instructions were honestly fine if a bit basic. It's a 9 layer case, so a bit of room for user error lol.That said, it's a good case. Nice fit, comes with its own heat sinks, and leaves you with access to everything. It's also partially open on the sides which should help with heating which is very important with the P4 as opposed to earlier models. The fan came on as soon as I plugged it in, and I've got to say... it is incredibly quiet. It actually took me a second to realize that it was going. And it looks great. I plan on doing some heat tests to make sure that there aren't any heating issues but I can feel the breeze from the fan just from putting my hand close so I suspect its fine. Color me satisfied. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars A bit tricky to assemble, good instructions, solid once together *by D***C on Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2019* This case is interesting in that it's built from 9 layers of machined plastic which you bolt together, sandwiching the Raspberry Pi in the middle. You need to be careful to align and stack the layers correctly. It's easy to reverse or flip a layer but the instructions are quite good with clear diagrams. Once it's together the case forms a really solid and nice looking nest for your Pi. The case comes with heatsinks and a fan which you can power via 3.3v or 5.0v for two different speeds. The only knock I have is that the connectors for the fan were a little too long and stick up a little too far from the GPIO pins for my tastes. The tops are just plastic and I may trim them if they bug me.
