Review: Perfect, perfect, perfect!! PS4 now has wireless headphones! - I spend a long time looking at headphone reviews and buyer videos trying to settle on the right pair, and I was lucky enough to have a wife who treated me for my birthday and bought me a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0. Love the headphones but quickly realised that they do not pair wirelessly with my PS4 Pro which was a bit of a disappointment. I read up on this USB adapter and decided to give it a go. The setup was incredibly simple: 1) Plug the adapter into the PS4 (it will automatically identify and switch the audio output to the adapter). 2) Put the headphones into pairing mode. 3) Wait for the headphones and adapter to pair (took about 3 seconds). I can now enjoy the freedom of wireless headphones whilst gaming and watching videos, Netflix, Prime etc. There is no sound lag that I can tell and all the functionality of the headphones (noise cancellation, easy volume adjust) works perfectly. No issues whatsoever. If I want the TV to by the primary output channel I can easily switch this back in the PS4 menu. Best adapter I've ever purchased and far, far better than having to shell out for a separate set of cans for my PS4. Would heartily and unconditionally recommend.
Review: Great for Wireless Headsets - Purchased this as I had a requirement to connect my Jabra t65's to my PC for conference calls. A standard Bluetooth dongle cannot handle the bi-directional requirements for communication (sound + microphone) as I found the connection would frequently drop or others would intermittently not hear me/bad quality. The connection would also suffer from some serious latency (lag) issues. The Aventree Leaf solves this issue perfectly. I'm using Windows 10 - just plugged in the dongle, and it automatically installed the drivers. The thing to remember is that the PC will see the dongle as a Sound Device and not a Bluetooth device, so connecting other Bluetooth devices to the dongle are done 'blind'. It's very simple though, just put your headset/device in pair mode, hold down the button on the dongle, and they will pair. I've only needed to do this once with my headset and it connects every time with no issues. I've also connected it to a Bluetooth speaker just fine, although it's worth mentioning that the dongle will only pair with one device at a time. The connection quality is great, and when you do need to communicate over your headset, you just push the button on the dongle to enter 'aptX Low Latency' mode for high quality communications with zero latency. I've not had a call drop out or anyone reporting they can't hear me since! The range is fantastic too. I live in a 5-level town house and I get connection in every room. I was a little hesitant at the £30 price tag, but it's worth every penny! As working from home has become the new normal, this piece of kit has been invaluable in keeping me connecting to my colleagues.

**Q: Just to make absolutely sure, if i plug this in to my ps4 pro will it transmit sound to my bluetooth headphones?**
A: Yes, the Avantree DG50 Leaf is a Bluetooth Audio USB adapter. As long as your USB port can output audio, this adapter will work. So, it works with any PC, Mac, PS4 and Nintendo console.
Here below is the guide how to use it with the PS4:
Step 1: Plug the Adapter into an USB port on your PS4.
You may either remove the rubber protector on the dongle or utilize the USB extension cable so that the dongle plugs into the PS4 better.
Step 2: Power up & Connect the Headphones/Speaker
Please get the Adapter AND the Headphones into Pairing mode and connect them.
Pairing mode: LED indicator flashing quickly.
Step 3: Adjust the Audio Settings on your PS4.
Go to Audio Devices. Make sure both “Input Device” and “Output Device” are set to "Avantree **Device Name**" Now you can hear the game background music and control the volume through the controller.
Step 4 (Optional): If you're using a Non-Avantree Headphone/Speaker.
If you're using a Headphone/Speaker of another brand and you'd like to use the microphone for in-game chats, please double-click the button on the adapter to switch into Chat Mode. You may double-click again to switch back.

**Q: Would Nuraphones work with this on the PS4 mic and sound**
A: Yes, absolutely, it can work with Nuraphones on the PS4 mic and sound. Considering that your headphones may not support Fast Stream, when you want to use mic, you need to switch the adapter to talk mode:
Double-Click the MFB button on your adapter to enter Talk/Chat mode. You may double-click again to switch back once you're done. (For headphones that support Fast Stream, will not need to do switch)

**Q: I had Bluetooth headphones for the ps3, will they now work for the ps4 with this?**
A: Thanks for asking. If they are bluetooth headphones and can be connected to your phone independentely with bluetooth, normally, it can get your headphones work on PS4.

**Q: Can you use apple airpods gen 1 mic with the ps4??**
A: Yes you can but let me just warn you, it’s very tricky if you switch back and forth from TV speakers to AirPod speakers. I ended up giving up and now use wired headphones.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great bit of kit - but...

Works brilliantly as advertised - any OS that can configure a USB sound card can instantly stream Bluetooth audio or connect to Bluetooth headset for audio and microphone. However - and this is the reason I had to return it - it defaults to streaming-mode, if you want to connect using headset mode (which is what I needed) then you have to press the button on the stick. So every time I switched the computer on I had to press the button... unfortunately my computer is in a hard to reach place and not on a desk which made the thing useless for my purpose. A shame because it really is a great device and would work perfectly for 90% of people.
