It is excellent, you can treat just the weed on the path or drive without worrying about neighbouring plants. Firstly, you do NOT have to incinerate the weed, just 5 to 8 seconds of direct heat will destroy the weed and the roots. Weeds with very deep roots may need more than one use, but so far this has killed everything we've used it on first time. Secondly, cable length, nobody in their right mind should really be expecting this to come with a hundred foot or more of flex (which we needed), that's what you buy an extension cable for. So criticism of the amount of flex it comes with are (imho) spurious and pointless. Thirdly, it is value for money, compare the initial purchase cost against purchasing a dedicated weed-sprayer or watering can, and then the repeat cost of chemical against the small amout of electricity this uses and it clearly makes financial sense to use this electric weed killer.
